OUR VISION
The St. John Baptist Church's vision is to glorify God by being like Jesus in every aspect of our lives through a discipleship that is loving, warm and friendly, Christ-centered, and Bible-based. It is our hope that each member of our congregation understands the vision that God has given our church. Our small group ministries provide the nurturing, relational community needed to facilitate our spiritual growth. The Lord Jesus Christ is at the heart of all that St. John is and does because only through Christ can we experience salvation.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible, the living inerrant Word of God, is the sole authority for faith and practice.
There are three persons in the God Head: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Holy Trinity).
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Jesus died to save us from sin and we are saved through faith. When we believe on Jesus Christ we are born again and the Holy Spirit takes residence in us.
Once we are saved, we are always saved.
Believers’ baptism by immersion is a symbol of death to the old way of life and resurrection to a new life in Christ.
Holy Communion is a memorial of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is open to all who are saved.
Each local church is an independent sovereign body, governing itself by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The absolute individual freedom to respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all circumstances is fundamental to our faith (freedom of conscience).
Jesus is the only mediator between God and us. We pray directly to God through Jesus Christ (priesthood of all believers).
Jesus is coming again suddenly, literally and visually.
Witness to Jesus Christ is the on going task of every believer.

3.TO HELP THEM TO RELATE EVERY AREA OF
THEIR LIVES TO THE WORD OF GOD THROUGH:
A. MINISTRY OF WORSHIP THAT PROMOTES
LIBERTY AND GLORIFIES GOD
B. A MINISTRY OF FELLOWSHIP THAT ENCOURAGES , EDIFYS,
AND EMPOWERS DISCIPLES TO BE CHRIST- LIKE
C. A MINISTRY OF EVANGELISM THAT SPREADS
THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO ALL PEOPLE
D. A MINISTRY OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION THAT BROADENS UNDERSTANDING APPLIES THE WORD OF GOD TO EVERYDAY LIFE
E. A MINISTRY OF SERVICE THAT USES OUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS TO MINISTER TO DISCIPLE’S SPIRITUAL SOCIAL CULTURAL,
ECONOMIC NEEDS
