Rev. “BJ” Torres, mother of Linton and Kenyetta, the proud Me-Mom to Tahija, Imani, Asia-Syani, Nadia and Linton III, and the great grand-mom to Amori Sean, the oldest child of William and the late Essie Edwards and a real lover of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reared in Rocky Mt., North Carolina, and presently residing in Sicklerville, New Jersey. BJ is an active member of the St. John Baptist Church Camden, New Jersey under the Pastoral leadership of Dr. Silas M. Townsend.  She is the Director of Women’s Ministry and also serves as Associate Minister of the church.

 

Rev. Torres is the founder of the Gospel Dinner Theatre located in Williamstown, New Jersey where God’s name is glorified in song, dance and with Christian comedy.

Rev. Torres shares the gospel throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and as far south as Virginia and North Carolina telling the goodness of Jesus Christ, giving hope to the hopeless and praying for a change in the lives of many.  She’s the ministry leader of Women’s Fellowship, which meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM, where women learn to love, honor, respect and encourage each other as they continue to lean and depend on Jesus and remain pleasing in His sight.

 

Rev. Torres is employed with Harris School of Business as the Director of Admissions.

 

She is a graduate of Christian Research and Development School of Biblical Counseling, and Trinity Southern University, a member of National Biblical Counseling Association and a graduate of Philadelphia College of Bible in Biblical Studies.

 

Favorite Scripture: II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
