Matthew 21:21  (NLT)

Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.

There's a post going around on Facebook and Instagram that says

"If one tiny virus can cause all of this, imagine how much your mustard seed faith can do!"

Wow. Let's just stop there and imagine this...

The Bible says the faith, as small as a mustard seed, can move mountains!!

Imagine the combined faith of all of the believers across the world coming together to fight and stand against this virus, against fear and against anything that isn't the will of God!!

Oh the mountains that would be moved! And not just moved, but REmoved, all together!

Better yet... let's imagine the mustard seed faith of your family combined together!

Imagine the combined power of the faith you have between you and the people you're doing this challenge with!!

Each of you has a gift, each of you has a unique access to God through prayer!! Each of you possesses an undeniable power of faith that makes even the devil shook once it's fully activated.

Oh the mountains in your family, in our city, in this world, that will be uprooted and moved when we choose to believe the One we believe in!!

Oftentimes, we underestimate the power of faith. Too often our perspective on faith is dulled by the raging waves of our fear.

Every day the news, both real news and fake news, strike a chord in our hearts, causing us to have more fear than faith.

We end up spending more time worrying "what if".. than proclaiming "GOD CAN!"

Our own worries and doubts can drown out the voice of Jesus in our hearts that tells us "Be still and KNOW that I am God."

That tells us "Not to lean to our own understanding but INSTEAD acknowledge Him in all our ways, so that He can direct our path!!!"

2020 has been a rollercoaster thus far. But I want to draw your attention to this fact:

The words "Fear not" is seen in the Bible 365 times!!

That's once for every day of this year!!!

That's 365 opportunities to choose faith over fear! And 366 opportunities on a leap year!!

Hallelujah!!!

When God tells us to FEAR NOT, He's not condemning us for being afraid but instead He's telling us that with Him there is no reason to fear. That He's got it! And He's got us!

He knows how human we are and He's sending us constant reminders that we have the option to choose faith over fear, to choose Godly assurance over worry, to choose God-fidence over doubt!

Thank you Jesus for always giving us hope, peace and a reason to trust you!

Today, we choose FAITH together!

Today we choose to activate the mighty power of faith you've given us individually and collectively!!

In Jesus name!

AMENN!!!

Take a couple moments to go over the discussion questions below with the people you’re taking the Bible study challenge with!

After your guys have talked over thee discussion questions and encouraged each other in your faith, take a few moments to pray together!!

If fear or worry has been trying to get in your way, allow your challenge partners to pray over you. Everyone can take turns praying until everyone in your group has prayed out loud.

Discussion Questions:

1. In what ways can you identify fear trying to take the place of faith in your life.

2. Recall a time that you had faith in God and He showed up in a mighty way!

3. Make a group pact to choose faith over fear and write it out! (Please feel freee to also share your pact in the Check In section below)

Here's an example:

"Today me and my family choose to have FAITH in Jesus over our lives! To choose FAITH every time FEAR tries to get us to feel anxious! We will encourage each other daily to keep our eyes on Jesus! We declare that we have faith to move mountains in Jesus name!"

4. How has this Pandemic brought even greater awareness to your need for greater faith?

God is excited to hear from you today, family!
